2015 could not have ended any better after a roller coaster year.
As 2015 winds down... it's only fitting that I look back at the past year, where there were a lot of smiles to be had but also a lot tears that were shed. And I couldn't be thankful enough to end 2015 with a smile on my face.
After 3.5 years in the media industry, I finally said goodbye this past December. The past few years has taught me many things and truth to be told, it has paved me to where I am now. I also met the most amazing coworkers turned great friends along the way and I couldn't be anymore grateful. A bittersweet departure.
I won't be sugar-coating that this journey has been easy, truthfully, it's been a lot of waiting for the right opportunity and even at some point I didn't think I would find an opportunity that will allow me to stay true with my creativity. But, I guess when people say if the time is right, it will happen. However, being a Taurus and all, I have no patience but of course I was proven wrong. I want to take this time to say Thank you to my family and friends for always believing in me at the times when I didn't, without your love and support, I truly don't think I'll be where I am now. Thank you.
I have marked December 2015 as the pivotal point in my life. You really couldn't write a better story than this... truth to be told, I still pinch myself every now and then to see if this is my reality or if I'm still dreaming. Within a span of a week before the offer, I was about to pick up and move my life to Vancouver because I felt that I was ready to move back after being gone for 10 years. And I was happy to do so. And then... I got the call.
It's been a month since I accepted the offer at NUDESTIX as the Creative Brand Manager. And about a week & half in, I'm overwhelmed with so much information but at the same time I feel at ease as I have finally found a place where I'll be able to express my creativity through design and photography. I am just so excited to be part of an up and coming brand that resonates a lot of my design mantra of less is more and to create an authenticity and raw feel. And for the first time in my career, I finally have a true connection. And I cannot wait to share with you my journey, so stay tuned.
'til next time...
